A TRIBUTE TO THE OLDIES

After obtaining considerable success in the musical and theatrical fields, Spiteri Lucas Entertainment and Bronk Productions respectively, joined all their resources and energies one of the most spectacular live shows – “A Tribute to the Oldies”.

This new live and entertaining show featured some of the most memorable tunes from the post war era. It gave the audience the opportunity to relive the excitement and great memories of post war music and its protagonists. Hit tunes by Elvis Presley, Fats Domino, Paul Anka, Cliff Richard, The Platters, Nat King Cole, crooners Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra as well as popular female artists like Marilyn Monroe, Shirley Bassey, and Connie Francis amongst others, featured prominently in this production. And with a star studded cast that included established artists like Debbie Scerri, Mary Rose Mallia, Glenn Vella, Antonello Persiano, Triccas, Nadine Axisa, Eleanor Cassar, Neville Refalo, Leontine, Maria Mallia, Ivan Spiteri Lucas and upcoming singer Christabelle Borg the show was a huge success.

All artists were accompanied by a six piece band directed by Mark Spiteri Lucas (piano), and also included Kurt Spiteri Lucas (keyboards), Jes Baldacchino (drums), Joe “Pops” Muscat (saxophone), Fabio Caligar (guitar), Joe M. Vella (bass) as well as backing vocalists Tiziana Calleja and Mauro Kitcher. Celaine Buhagiar and her Dancel Dancers were responsible for choreography.
