DIPINTO DI BLÙ Musical Director: Mark Spiteri Lucas Dipinto di Blù presented a varied repertoire of popular Italian and Neapolitan melodies. From Giorgia’s “Come Saprei” or Laura Pausini’s “La Solitudine”, the hit tune that put her into the forefront of the Italian music scene, to upbeat songs such as Mina’s “Tintarella di Luna”. The song-list included well-known numbers such as Bocelli’s “Sogno” and “Vivo Per Lei”, De Crescenzo’s “Ancora”, Eros’s “Piu’ Bella Cosa”, Pooh’s “Uomini Soli”, Baglioni’s classical ballad “Questo Piccolo Grande Amore”, Mia Martini’s “Almeno Tu Nell’Universo” and Marcella Bella’s “Montagne Verdi”. The classical touch from Naples cannot be missed with evergreen Neapolitan tunes such as “Santa Lucia”, “O Sole Mio”, “Sordato” Innamorato”, “Feniculì Feniculà” and “Torna a Surriento”, just to mention a few. The show featured Nadine Axisa, Ivan and Mark Spiteri Lucas, Maria Mallia, pop tenor Aldo Busuttil, and Neville Refalo. All artists were accompanied by a live trio with Mark Spiteri Lucas (piano), Patrick Camilleri (drums and percussion) and Joe M. Vella (double bass). |
