LIVE FROM THE SCREEN Musical Director: Mark Spiteri Lucas Spiteri Lucas Entertainment’s first theatrical production featured “Live from the Screen”, a live animated and unplugged concert with some of the most popular songs and soundtracks ever produced in major blockbuster movies. The experienced cast included experienced performers such as Roger Tirazona, Mark Tonna, Nadine Axisa, Ivan Spiteri Lucas, Patrick Vella, Maria Mallia, as well as young artists, Christabel Borg and Marilena Gauci. Some of the songs performed were “Over the Rainbow” from hit movie “The Wizard of Oz”, “As Time Goes By” from “Casablanca”, “If I Were a Richman” from “The Fiddler on the Roof”, a selection from “The Sound of Music”, “What a Feeling” from “Flashdance”, “Up Where we Belong” from “An Officer and a Gentleman”, and tracks from more recent films such as The Mask of Zorro, Pearl Harbour and Moulin Rouge amongst others. All artists were accompanied by a live 4 piece band with Mark Spiteri Lucas (piano), Marin Curmi (drums), Alfred Carabott (percussion) and Joe M. Vella (double bass). |
